Slap my wrist and then Shush Your Mouth

Hey fellow shoe lovers!! I know..I know..once again I failed on posting on here. I have not posted pictures of shoe purchases in almost a year. Believe you me though that does not mean I have not bought.

THIS is me saying I am trying to make it a goal to post four times a month, start small right??

AS WELL....YOU WILL NEVER BELIEVE what I got at DSW for $30...or techinally right under that

a pair of shoes is too easy...

guess again?

A PAIR OF BADGLEY MISCHKA's!!!

I KNOW!! I was visiting my grandma & best friend in Washington, went into a DSW, they were having a clearance sale and I went straight to my size. Sitting there with what seemed to be a beam of light from heaven above( errr okay that might just be in my mind) on the shelf in my size but a brand I only dreamed of buying. So I grabbed them a bit like Gallum..err Gollum? You know LOTR creeper guy? Stroking the box "my precious"...again only in my head...I SWEAR. Look in the box, yep both pair are the same brand, no marks, scuffs, damage...just seem to be an out of date style. Price? $245 Nope. Cannot afford that. Oh wait tag says SALE $145.99...yikes..still cannot afford that...wait...what is this..

YELLOW TAG FOR 80% OFF???!!!!! Hurry Bridgette do some Math....CHA-CHING

Ran or speed walked to the register to purchase them ASAP.

So I will post a picture of them, and try to get posts up three times this month.

Julep Maven- JOIN FOR ONE PENNY

Hey lovely readers! I won't bother giving excuses about lack of posts.
I have plenty in draft form that I am adding to as I can. Life is life and sometimes you just can not excuse yourself from other things to sit down and write on your own blog. I am just happy I can find time to fit in my reading of my favorite blogs. I have several posts and a bunch are on my nails. That is what this one is all about but I wanted to, no needed to  post this wonderful thing to you right meeeeooow.

I found out about Julep Maven from Carla a blog I follow. She is a lovely gal that is a fellow military spouse, loves shoes, nail polish and clothes as much or more than me.
Around January she posted about her recent find of a Seattle based company and their monthly polish club. Julep is a salon in Seattle that makes fantastic colors, products AND sells them online!
Sweet!
You can click on their name Julep here to get more information about them
Now onto what Julep Maven is and WHY I am finally posting to only post about them
Well not only are they American, owned, operated and even make their products in the United States but they make them without a lot of the additives that other nail polishes have. I call that a WIN WIN, wouldn't you??
Now their monthly club is only 19.95, you take a survey about what style you are. I am usually Classic with a Twist, but just this past month I switched to American Beauty because I preferred what that box was. Each box comes with either two polishes and an product, just polish, great products etc. But it changes each month and you can request to change to another box for a month and then the following go back to your style(based on that survey) automatically.
Great huh?
So why bother you with this?
BECAUSE YOU CAN GET YOUR FIRST BOX FOR ONE PENNY!!!
What it this day in age costs just one penny anymore? Not only that for every two people that join by clicking on THIS LINK will give me a month for free. So it helps us both out. Click on the link and start your process enter code; SHAREONMAY and enjoy

You're welcome!
Go ahead and check them out, even if you don't do the monthly club(which I think you should), their polish is something you HAVE to just try.
See you soon
(back to finals...grumbles...)

COMING BACK SOON...

I am working on it. I have ten more days of just work and no school. So it is a goal to get caught up on my shoe purchases. I will also do a round up of 2011 for me, also thinking of including my nail polish love on here...and maybe fashion? I am just curvy and do not have the clothes some of my favorite fashion bloggers do....so it is a leap for me. For now I will go with just posting my shoes again then atleast a once a week nail one...how is that??

I hope your Christmas was great, New Years even better and that your 2012 has started off treating you fantastic.

See ya Soon!!

Sparkly. Cagey. Ruffle-y or how many words can I add a Y to the end of?

Phew! It has been to loong!
Not since I bought or wore adorable shoes that make me want to walk around naked just so people look at them.
What?
If I was naked people would only  have my shoes to stare at!
=)
Anywwwwaaays.
So I figure it is high time I get my Alaskan tail in gear and start posting some shoes, but been so long I got to actually go through my closet and make a section of shoes I have bought since last posted regularly and make sure I take pictures wearing them.
Ones that accent them anyways.

But recently while on a 12 day cruise through the Greek Isles, Croatia, Turkey and Montenegro....
......waiting......

Okay done being jealous and wiping the drool from your chin?

I happened to take a picture of just my feet. I know I can post full body shots wearing the shoes, but not sure I want to go from just a shoe blog to a fashion blog...maybe soon. For now though in order to focus just on the wonderful soles.

These lovely black and sparkly things were worn on the cruise ship on my birthday. July 7th.
I got them at the PX for less than $40 bucks. They are a brand called Anne Michelle

I tried to see if I could find this exact shoe online somewhere but no luck. HOWEVER if you
you can be looking at getting your own pair of Anne Michelle's just this time in a very, very cute lace print.

Now I know what you are thinking....what is up with these pictures?
But in my defense I thought I had a close up of the shoe on some occasions that I have worn them on, but not really. Excuse the chipped polish on the third one. It was a busy day and I meant to touch up..but I didn't so ignore or deal with it.

 I got them at

back in Jan(2011)
with a gift card that was a Christmas Present
So to me they were free but the price I paid was less than $30.
They quite often have a buy one get one at 50% off.

So def check their website out.

Okay on to the Cage-y
I have actually only show you these Michael Antonio's when I first bought them and that was only the picture from online.
These girls have been to Spain, Belgium, Germany and back.

If you don't remember or didn't read
I got these in a shoe dazzle monthly purchase.
I ADORE them. check out their spiked heel?
Guess what?

They are COMFY.
No.
I really mean it.
Only thing I have had that was anything sucky about them is that after dancing in them my foot had the cag indents on my foot. But that wasn't even painful.
They are great.

Awww look my feet have feet friends.
Hope you don't mind Claudia I showed your feet off too

Okay lovely readers. That is just the three I had to show real quick.

or

better to be told as the three I have pictures of on this computer and not having to hook up the external hard drive I store pictures on.

Sigh.

I am always honest.
Sometimes not to my advantage.

I'm so Blue

Bluuuuueeeeeeeeeee, I'm so lonesome for you, why can't you be blue over me.....

I adore that song

But these blue heels?

NOPE.

Now I usually never, ever regret a purchase. But these cheap snakeskin shoes?

oh yeah.

Regretting.

I figured if I am being "real" with my blogging I would share these. I saw these for a shoedazzle purchase in June. I figured... " What the heck"
They seemed to be daring, bold blue, I could wear them with a black dress, out to a bar. I would not wear them to the store or work. I know the black snakskin pattern is not "day" wear.

But I got them in. Opened the pretty box
and

SHUT IT REAL QUICK!!

They stayed up in my closet. Hiding in "blue hearted" shame.

I figured try to wear them out.

They felt cheap, looked cheap, hurt my feet.

Sad day.

Now just need to find a home for them.
That is not the garbage dump.

They may be cheap, but I figure there is a stripper out there who needs these bad girls.

=)

Have a great Day~
